Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sparklo(“Sparklo”, “we”, “us”), a product of BasePod Apps LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you use Sparklo. Sparklo is a connected service for PlatMO accounts. This policy is specific to Sparklo and supplements the separate BasePod Apps and PlatMO privacy policies.

Information we collect

To provide the service, Sparklo collects and stores:

  • Account & authentication data. When you connect Sparklo to PlatMO, we receive and store your PlatMO account and subsite identifiers, your plan tier, and the PlatMO access token used to authenticate requests on your behalf.
  • Brand & page content from PlatMO. To generate content, Sparklo reads your brand profile (business name, brand voice and tone) and page content (page titles and excerpts) from your PlatMO account.
  • Campaign briefs you provide. The topic, goal, key message, and audience you enter, along with your selected generation mode and social platforms.
  • Generated content. The emails, social posts, and blog posts Sparklo produces for you, and their push status.
  • Usage data. Token counts and estimated costs per generation, used to monitor service usage and operating costs.

Sparklo is not intended to collect special categories of personal data, and we do not ask you to provide personal data about your own customers.

How we use information

  • Authenticate you and authorize access through PlatMO.
  • Generate content from your briefs and brand context.
  • Track and enforce your monthly credit allowance.
  • Monitor aggregate usage and costs and send internal cost alerts to our team.
  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

AI processing and service providers

We rely on a small set of service providers (subprocessors) to run Sparklo:

  • Anthropic, PBC— your briefs and brand context are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate content. Per Anthropic’s commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
  • PlatMO (BasePod Apps) — the source of your brand and page data and the destination for the drafts you approve.
  • Resend — sends internal/administrative emails (such as cost alerts) to our team. It is not used to email your customers.
  • DigitalOcean (hosting) and Cloudflare (content delivery and security).

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share data only with the service providers above as needed to operate Sparklo, when you direct us to (for example, pushing drafts to PlatMO), or where required by law.

Data retention

We retain your account records, briefs, and generated content while your Sparklo connection is active, and delete or anonymize them within a reasonable period after you disconnect, unless we must retain them to meet legal obligations.

Security

Access tokens are stored in httpOnly cookies and transmitted over HTTPS, and access to stored data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and local storage

Sparklo uses cookies only where strictly necessary to run the service — specifically, secure httpOnly cookies that keep you signed in after you connect through PlatMO. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you. Sparklo also saves a small number of functional preferences (for example, your interface settings) in your browser’s local storage; these stay on your device, are not used to track you, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Because Sparklo relies only on strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because Sparklo authenticates through PlatMO, you can manage or revoke the connection from your PlatMO dashboard, or contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as required by applicable law.

International users

Sparklo is operated from, and your data may be processed in, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Children’s privacy

Sparklo is intended for business use and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
